Marketing and Community Relations Liaison

United Hospice is offering an extraordinary opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing and Community Relations professional to join our talented team. This is a very exciting time to join United Hospice as we embark on expanding our services outside of Rockland County to include Orange County!

The successful candidate will have strong, well-rounded outreach experience with excellent written and verbal communication. The qualified candidate should have a minimum of five years' experience in marketing/sales in a healthcare organization, with a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field.

As United Hospice continues to grow, this position will have a key role continuing to expand our services in both counties. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Public Relations to positively promote United Hospice as the end-of-life care provider of choice within the health care community. You will manage the agency's outreach efforts to the health care community to result in an increased volume of referrals. You will carry out a broad range of administrative and marketing activities.

You will travel within both counties making periodic visits to Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Senior Centers, and places of worship to provide Hospice information and marketing materials. You will develop and manage our email marketing communications, utilizing a web-based email software system. You will assist with updates to our website utilizing content management software, ensuring our content is accurate, current and interesting. You will be responsible for posting online communications to targeted communities via social media networking sites (e.g. Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter). You are responsible for working with colleagues to create, edit, and distribute internal and external print and online newsletters.

Additional Requirements:

▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
▪ 5 years’ experience in marketing or sales in a healthcare organization preferred
▪ Demonstrated strong writing and public presentation skills.
▪ Strong understanding of online communications and social media marketing.
▪ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, database management and web-based software.
▪ Able to work evenings and weekends on occasion; serve as staff support at UH fundraising events and other community events as needed.

Health insurance, 401k and profit sharing, generous paid time off and Education Assistance is available for benefit-eligible employees with scheduled hours of thirty (30) or more. Additional salary enhancement for bi-lingual candidates.
